Role Description

The HR Manager is responsible for overseeing the human resources function to ensure the effective utilization of team members and the successful implementation of HR strategies. This role involves developing, recommending, and executing HR policies, practices, and procedures to support organizational goals. The HR Manager will define, implement, and manage employee benefit programs and compensation plans to attract, retain, and motivate top talent.

Job Duties:

  • Oversee the recruitment process, including directing the recruiting, interviewing, and screening of candidates for various positions. Develop and implement strategies to attract and retain top talent.
  • Administer and manage the company’s compensation and payroll programs using internal and external resources.
  • Analyze company compensation policies and practices relative to industry standards and geographic benchmarks. Recommend adjustments to ensure competitiveness and equity in compensation.
  • Plan, implement, and manage Company benefit programs. Ensure all corporate benefits comply with local, state, and federal laws and regulations and effectively communicate and administer these benefits to employees to enhance their understanding and satisfaction.
  • Develop and analyze statistical data regarding proposed benefit changes to forecast future benefit costs and support strategic decision-making regarding benefit improvements.
  • Oversee the administration of the Company's workers’ compensation program, including working with insurance carrier to reduce associate injuries and lost time.
  • Train and develop Human Resource Generalists to ensure functions of the team are performed timely, accurately and in accordance with procedure guidelines.
  • Conduct periodic performance evaluations for associates
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of company policies and procedures. Ensure that HR practices and decisions align with organizational standards and objectives.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field of study; five years of HR experience with at least three years of Human Resource Management experience required, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate possess excellent problem solving, conflict resolution, organizational and time-management skills, as well as effective written and oral communication. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Comprehensive knowledge of HR Policies including FMLA, ADA, workers’ compensation and other HR related laws and policies.

This is a full-time on-site role for an HR Generalist at Electronic Systems, Inc. in Sioux Falls, SD.
