SUMMARY: The Manufacturing Engineer position supports all facets of production manufacturing of electronic assemblies and is responsible for defining and improving the processes, equipment, and tooling. Responsible for continuous improvements and participating in cost reduction activities related to the assembly processes while working within the parameters of the customer expectations.
Position Hours: Monday – Thursday 3:30pm to 2:00am
QUALIFICATIONS:
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Investigate and resolve process related problems in support of the daily manufacturing efforts.
Provide technical assistance to production, including but not limited to, interpreting assembly documentation and production standards.
Program, set-up, operate, and troubleshoot manufacturing equipment.
Participate in design for manufacturability review (DFM) of new and existing products in support of continuous process improvements and customer service.
Investigate, justify, and implement equipment in support of process improvements and cost reductions.
CONTACTS: Frequent external and internal contacts with vendors, resource people, customers, and associates.
WORKING CONDITIONS: General office and production environment.
ACCOUNTABILITY: The Manufacturing Engineer is accountable for possessing and applying the necessary technical and system knowledge of good manufacturing practices to plant operations. The Manufacturing Engineer is also responsible for keeping informed and up to date on new developments in this area and implementing improvements as appropriate. Must demonstrate good project management and decision-making skills. Manages time well to focus efforts on important aspects of the job. Is accountable for practicing and promoting safe working habits, compliance with Company policies/procedures, and contribution to the overall Electronic Systems, Inc. team.
SUPERVISION: No direct supervisory responsibilities. Support and provide high quality service to internal and external customers.
