SCHEDULE: Shift 2: Monday – Friday | 4:00 PM – 2:30 AM

Additional hours may be required to support production demands, customer audits, regulatory activities, or special projects.

PAY: $18.00/hour +$1.00 Shift Differential (More for proven previous experience in Quality and Compliance)

We are seeking a Quality & Compliance Facilitator who enjoys solving problems, improving systems, supporting manufacturing excellence, and ensuring compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Shift 2 Quality & Compliance Facilitator supports ESI's Quality Management System by coordinating quality assurance activities, regulatory compliance initiatives, supplier compliance, audits, calibration support, documentation control, and continuous improvement efforts.

This position partners closely with Quality, Engineering, Production, Purchasing, Program Management, suppliers, and customers to ensure products meet quality standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations while driving process improvements throughout the organization.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Quality Assurance & Inspection Support

  • Interpret engineering drawings, schematics, specifications, work instructions, and customer requirements to determine quality expectations.
  • Support incoming, in-process, and final inspection activities.
  • Assist with defective material review and disposition activities.
  • Develop and apply inspection criteria and sampling plans.
  • Recommend improvements to inspection methods, quality procedures, and manufacturing processes.
  • Support calibration activities to ensure measurement equipment remains accurate and compliant.

Audits & Continuous Improvement

  • Conduct and document internal process audits in accordance with IPC standards, customer requirements, and internal procedures.
  • Participate in root cause investigations involving customer complaints, supplier issues, corrective actions, production concerns, and line-down events.
  • Support projects involving:
    • Documentation improvements
    • First Pass Yield (FPY)
    • Statistical Process Control (SPC)
    • Root cause analysis
    • Lean and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Assist with UL, ETL, and other third-party product certification audits.

Regulatory & Supplier Compliance

  • Coordinate supplier compliance documentation related to:
    • RoHS
    • REACH
    • Conflict Minerals
    • PFAS
    • Persistent Organic Pollutants (POP)
    • Proposition 65
    • Florida DOT
    • Customer-specific regulatory requirements
  • Maintain certifications, declarations, test reports, and regulatory documentation.
  • Ensure compliance documentation is current, accurate, and retained according to company requirements.
  • Communicate with suppliers regarding compliance documentation and corrective actions.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Engineering, Production, Purchasing, Program Management, suppliers, and customers to resolve quality and compliance issues.
  • Support the ongoing effectiveness of ESI's Quality Management System.
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

  • Associate degree in Electronics, Mechanical Technology, Manufacturing Technology, Quality, or a related technical field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of five years of quality assurance experience in an electronics, manufacturing, or electromechanical environment preferred.
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality systems, inspection methods, and quality documentation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Excellent organizational, documentation, and recordkeeping skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Preferred

  • Experience working within ISO Quality Management Systems.
  • Experience conducting internal or supplier audits.
  • Familiarity with IPC standards.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements including RoHS, REACH, Conflict Minerals, PFAS, Proposition 65, and related global regulations.
  • Experience supporting corrective action systems and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Experience with First Pass Yield (FPY), Statistical Process Control (SPC), and root cause analysis.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Frequently sit, stand, and walk throughout the facility.
  • Occasionally lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
  • Ability to distinguish colors.
  • Ability to use hands and fingers for computer work, documentation, and inspection activities.
  • Visual ability to inspect products and read technical documentation.
  • Occasionally bend, reach, and climb during audits or inspections.
  • Wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE) when entering production areas.

WORKING CONDITIONS

This position works in both office and manufacturing environments and requires regular interaction with production personnel, quality systems, suppliers, customers, and manufacturing processes. The role may involve changing priorities based on production schedules, customer needs, and regulatory requirements.

The Shift 2 Quality & Compliance Facilitator is accountable for supporting the integrity and effectiveness of ESI's Quality Management System by ensuring inspections, audits, documentation, supplier compliance activities, and regulatory requirements are completed accurately and on time.

This role supports continuous improvement initiatives, assists with supplier and customer quality concerns, maintains accurate compliance records, and contributes to the overall success of ESI through professionalism, teamwork, safety, integrity, and a commitment to Legendary Service.
